- guaranteed late checkout till 16.00 H (brings HH in line with competitors)
early check in will get problematic if a lot of DR use late checkout
(redeye flights Singapore to Europe / Japan)
- upgrades subject to availability but highest priorty (oh dear, there is still the rank of Honor's society above it)
- CSU: confirme suite upgrade
earned max 2x per year (milestone N = 120 and/or reaching DR-status)
good, but better if this could be done instant online without convolution
- Premium Club access.....

A) let's hope the the current executive lounges become premium lounges with better offerings and calm uncrowded ambiance
B) chance is executive lounges will be now relocated to old undesirable meetingrooms where a coffeemachine + snackmix towers will be sufficient to cruelly remind the diamonds to push further in their spending to acquire DR to get access to premium lounges

* IHG has only a 4 of these type of hotels with this distinction between lounge (access by milestone award) or premium lounge by $ only (no milestone award access) or even an inferior lounge to fob off folks , see for more info ...

Can i personally reach Hilton Diamond Reserve status?
It requires 80 N or 40 stays + $18000

I can never make consistent 40+ nights per year or divide it in 1 night stays x 40, as i do not have enough family, mistresses, work commitments to keep me out of my house as i also needo juggle nights away on the boat and in a tent.

With IHG,
i can acquire Diamond with pure $12000 spend,
get invited for Royal Ambassador + Inner Circle on pure spend criteria > $15000 plus softcriteria being furniture at certain hotels.

So for me personally HH Diamond Reserve status is unatainable.
So to those folks out there, be pleased that there is one less poor sod to worry about in the sequance rank queue
