Ditto. I go to Tokyo 3-4 times a year and bounce between Hilton Shinjuku and ODaiba. Entertained the idea of staying at one of the Marriotts many times but the locations are no good to me. But if the Hilton nightly rates continue to go out of control then I might.
That said I could spend $18k at Hilton the way things are going in Tokyo, but even with 4 stays I would only be at 40 nights. And like you said my US domestic travel is almost always non-hilton because I prefer to have two viable hotel programs in my pocket...
