Do lap infants accrue lifetime miles if their MileagePlus number is included in the reservation?

My kids have had MileagePlus accounts since coming home from the hospitals at birth. I noticed they did not start accruing PQP/PQF/RDM until they had their own seats. But I'm curious if they were still accruing lifetime miles.
