I visited Hua Hin on a holiday to Thailand twenty or so years ago and thought it a nice place. But just over a year ago I was there for a week and thought it had changed, and not for the better. It seemed rather run down and shabby and I was told it had not recovered well after the covid pandemic.

On that latter occasion I was travelling around Thailand trying to decide where I might spend more time and alas Hua Hin didn’t make the shortlist. I am not a golfer.
