London to Lusaka? Any sensible OneWorld routing?
Going to Lusaka next April/May on business. Is there any sensible way to get there on OneWorld that I'm missing, with no more than one connection?

A group of us travelling and everyone is pointing to Emirates to Dubai (A380) and then change onto an Emirates 777. Circa £4k for Business return, which is a pretty decent deal for nearly 14 hours flight time each way. But I've never flown Emirates, and would rather have earned Avios and/or TPs if anything was possible.

Excuse my ignorance, but I presume BA to Dubai and then change to Emirates for the second leg isn't smooth if you want to take hold luggage, as it won't check through all the way?
