As FTers it is unthinkable that you would fly and not get credit. However, I have sometimes struck up a conversation with seatmates and asked if they were getting ff miles for this flight. You would be surprised at the number of people, both coach and first class, who are not getting credit. They often say it is not worth the hassle or that they are not frequent flyers or that they are frequent flyers on another carrier, but not the one they are on.
So back to my question: Of all the seat miles flown in the last year, what percent do you think were actually credited to a frequent flyer account?
Last year, I shared an office with a guy who flew JFK-SFO every single week (and did other travel). He wasn't a member of any FF program.
