“Double buying” only works if you follow the exact sequence: add via KLM, then Air France, pay KLM first, then AF.

The XP trick also works on the return. I once managed to buy 5 XP eight times for the same flight by testing every KLM domain variation 😅. Wouldn’t recommend it though, CS might ask questions if you ever have to claim.

Buying through both KLM and AF directly is safe. Worst case, just say you got an error and completed it on the other site. Never had any issues doing that.
I followed all of your instructions to the dot and don't think I was able to buy multiple SAF. I tried to buy 3x SAF--I was on klm.nl, airfrance.nl, and klm.be and was able to add all 3 SAF to my cart successfully.

I went through check in, clicked on one window at a time, and tried to pay for all 3. In the end, I only got one SAF email confirmation and one SAF charge on my credit card (the first screen, klm.nl):

We are happy to confirm that the payment for your extra option or options was successful!

The other two screens went through as pending (no credit card charge), and I got an email saying:

Thank you for reserving an extra option or options for your flight.

At this moment, we do not yet know whether your payment was successful. We are looking into this and will inform you within a few hours via e-mail.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience!

Pretty disappointed right now because I needed the SAF and planned my trip around this sadly. My credit card company confirmed there are no other pending charges. KLM/AF only show an option to buy Nature Regeneration now.

Is there anything else I can do? Maybe contact AF/KLM and ask them to charge me again for SAF?
