In my case it worked like that - 2 years due to status challenge, and if you do > 25k in one year, extension of 2 years. But if you read the long thread, some others were not so lucky, presumably since TK IT is messing up and customer service not responding

Yes, if you do 80k in one year you should become elite plus from that moment for 2 years, and after that if you do not do anything soft land to elite (I am not sure if TK requires to fly at least once with *A as condition for soft landing)
