Bringing this thread back. Friend and I are headed to Shanghai next year and our top choices are this property and the Peninsula. This property is significantly cheaper (I can get a suite here for about half the price of the Peninsula), but we're just concerned about location. It seems further South from the Bund and also pretty far from Jing'an, former French Concession area, and other major areas. Does anyone know if this area is good for walkability and public transportation? Or should we just pick another hotel?
