Just checked EF, and I see D5 for both the JL prime flight (JL 8) and the AA codeshare (AA 8476). That flight has the old JL 789 outdated Sky Suite interior. The seats are narrow and coffin-like. Maybe next time I'll fly CX HKG-BOS instead.
Ah I meant specifically the UL operated CMB-NRT route. I haven't been able to find D on that one on the JL code. Was looking at an itinerary last month that required a CMB transit and could only ever find availability on the UL code.
