AY app still allowing upgrades on the Jettime sector.
I looked back to my august jettime flight, and there are zero notes or photos of the flight, meaning is was probably neither any better nor any worse than any normal no-frills ride. In economy I would say it is same-same as AY, ie not very pleasant but not repulsive either. (For business I cannot say)
The only reason I can come up with to avoid it is if your trust in the 737 max isn't great.
OTOH, if I did have usage for a 7,5 h lounge break and it didn't wreak my schedule I personally probably would have changed departure, but that is just me, enjoying lounge time. The 22.30 departure likely would be a no-go for me as arrving too late rarely is worth it.

As for the upgrades (and all other info in the AY app) it wasn't working or faulty, so to get upgrade you likely need to get it done in person and if luggage allowance is important you also probably would want to get something in writing from AY.
