odds of clearing and competing bids
reposting this from LH to LX thread..

context: I have an Eco ticket on LX 176 in 3 days.
To make sure I'd get a more decent night, I put in a bid for Biz (11 seats remaining as per seat map), and also for PE (13 seats remaining as per seat map). Biz bid is 3x more than PE bid. From Co-pilot I get a better picture:
  • First Class (F): F2 A0 — 2 seats available, no award inventory
  • Business Class (J): J9 C9 D1 Z0 P0 — high availability in revenue buckets, but Z0 suggests no discounted upgrades
  • Premium Economy (G/E/N): G9 E0 N0 — some availability

question: do my bids compete with each other or is this a good fallback approach?
is it blanket "win = bid revenue - cost of service class" or does the system first consider F, biz and then moves on the PE ?
Any advantage given for SEN status ?
