Fellow named Sebastian, author on a website semi-competing with FT, mostly in Asia and sometimes in Europe, wrote in 2025 he obtained Globalist via fast-track 20 nights and doesn't stay much (or stays very little) at Hyatt as he believes it's not worth it as an investment (beyond 20th night it seems he is saying)
You can skip to the "Yes" side (my take) below or note these few points in other blog articles written recently (late Sept/October 2025) by this Sebastian.
i. one article he mentioned 20 properties he stayed at in Asia...almost all higher-end (seems maybe a bit snobbish?)
ii. another article was about Hilton's "My Way" choice not registering (i think for one brand, but maybe more). In that article he says he's stayed at Hiltons only a few times in past year or so. Said he would check with Hilton. (doesn't seem to be much of an authority on Hilton, why read that website, maybe website owner delegated that topic / a reader's question)
iii. wrote about Hyatt Promo in Asia to earn points by eating at properties -- he described the food consumed and showed photo of the bill : approx US$ 200 dinner for two where he had wagyu. ($200 for hotel nights is not good investment, but $200 for dinner for two ...must have been a good investment)
Why Hyatt program
IS a good investment (beyond 20th night)
1. Milestones before night 60. Definitely better than Marriott's choice-at-50th-night with nothing beforehand. Here's link to more details
Milestones: Hyatt's advantage over Marriott, Hilton, IHG
2. Milestone-values beyond night 60 are of good value absolutely and relatively eg 10,000 points (which are worth way more than 10k of Hilton, points), and increase progressively with jumps at night 100 and 150, and go to 150th night
3. Brand Explorer. FNA Cat 1-4 for every 5th different brand. Assuming reasonable number of different brands in areas where someone will be, could get a few FNA's .. although only 'one-time' for each 5-brands, better than no FNA
Example of All-Inclusives
Hyatt All Inclusive Badges & Strategy
4. Reward nights start as low as 3,500 points for Cat 1 "off-peak". eg beyond night 60, receive 10k points which is almost 3 "off-peak" nights Not bad receiving 3 nights free for staying 10 nights. And suppose stayed 10 nights at Cat 1 "off-peaks", you would receive 10k points for next Milestone, which you could view as the previous 10 nights at 2,500 per night. (3,500 per night then subtract 10,000 / 10)
Of course, if almost always wanting / having to stay at higher end properties, the points don't go as far.
5. There are a range of price-points properties. So, if concerned about "not worth it", stay at some lower-priced but good value properties.
Just my "2 cents"
