Friends did a transborder flight early morning flight from YYZ on Sunday. Departure was about 8 am. Flight was pretty much on-time. They tell me that there was signage indicating the lounge was at capacity and nobody was being admitted. Many unhappy pax.
I haven’t seen too much on FT lately about the YYZ transborder lounge being at capacity. Sunday there were a lot of delays and cancellations for US bound pax. Perhaps the delays resulted in less turnover in the lounge.
I’ve got an upcoming transborder flight. Wondering if capacity limits in this lounge are thing again or whether Sunday was an exception. Has any one experienced this lately?
I think they've started leaving that sign out at the elevator before you go up to the lounge even when it's not at capacity given how little space there is at the top of the elevators to queue (although I've seen recently some times that it is full, especially for the morning flight block). This past Sunday afternoon/evening when I was through that sign was there but once you went upstairs the lounge was busy but not at capacity, even with the slew of FAA-driven delays.
