I'm not a fan of the bulkhead due to having to give up my bag during takeoff/landing. I especially dislike bulkhead aisles since I'm in the "line of fire" of everyone getting on the plane. Also, bulkhead window I can usually stash my small laptop in the literature pocket on the wall at takeoff/landing. In the end I'm happy with any FC seat over something in coach.
For me, 2 or 3 A or F during the daytime for the frequently incredibly views (espec in Winter), 2 or 3 C or D at night. Then 4, and last choice is bulkhead. Seatmaps of available upgrades 72 hrs out supports that bulkheads seem low on the popularity scale. Agree that any FC seat is better than anything in coach!
Strongly dislike getting smacked in the head on the aisles from unaware backpack carriers who when they turn.....I've literally caught some before facial impact and pushed back - strongly - to make sure they got it. Whether they got it for future aisle transits is TBD!
