We had a one night stopover at the W earlier this year. Taxi from the airport seems to be the easiest way to get there - the cost isn’t that much more than going to the city.

My daughter loved the giant pool and slide. It’s also very close to the Sentosa attractions. Limited dining options outside the hotel. I’d stay again if travelling with kids. Otherwise I’d stay in a city hotel and roam the streets more.
