If the breakfast benefit goes for Gold members and the Diamond status becomes new Gold, it will be quite a devaluation for Lifetime Diamond members. That would explain the lowering of the qualification requirements, I guess.
I could only see this as a slight positive if they return breakfast to Diamonds in North America, and get rid of
the F&B credit that was paltry when introduced five years ago, and worth even less these days given rising prices. I still remember the good old days of full hot breakfast at HGIs.
