Depending on the exact changes I am starting to think this may be the end of the line for my Hilton loyalty. Ironically I have never stayed more at Hilton than this year - will hit 100 nights, some 35 stays, in 25 hotels across ten countries. Base points will probably be around 160.000. My home country has no Credit Card offers - it is about bum-in-bed.
If Lifetime Diamond LTD criteria reduced accordingly to 700 (or maybe 750) I may decide to bag that within a couple of years from here, but then whatfor given the how the programme has been developing.
There are a few Hilton branded hotels I stay at regularly where recognition is very good, but my sense is that would be now true even in the absence of status given my frequency of stays for many years with them.
