On the one hand, moving meaningful benefits from the elite levels to milestones is nowadays very common (Hyatt, Alaska, AA and probably others have this, too).
On the other hand, if Diamond status no longer came with automatic lounge and/or breakfast, I don't know that I would continue to bother with having the Aspire card... and fancy credit cards are apparently very important revenue sources for "loyalty marketers".
So not sure how they will proceed, but we will probably find out soon enough.
