Does anyone know a good reason to show TSA PreCheck for non-US origins?
That's been there since they introduced PreCheck. I guess if you have a connection it may be helpful (though the other boarding pass should then carry the logo), and I know AA at T3 use it as a flag to not ask too many silly questions. Some Amadeus airlines do one boarding pass for multiple sectors (seemingly members of Star Alliance) so Amadeus may be insisting on it since it has to go on to the boarding pass. But my guess is that it's always been like that and no-one has thought to change it.
