Additional comments:
1. Room. At check-in they knew I was Diamond and had chatted a bit about travel places in with fellow who checked me in so no reason to think I got a bad room.

2. No welcome amenity in room. Wasn't focused on that, and just one night stay. But, most other HGI's have provided something.

3. Lighting in room. Fortunately for windows during daytime hours.

4. Bedside "tables". They are smallest in ~215 hotel nights in 2025 and can't recall smaller ones at international hotel group properties

IHG property (Holiday Inn) is next to canal at end. If get a room facing canal would be good for the view and it's at least 1km shorter distance to "center" of Paris. But, check the absolute price and relative price to HGI. Points for the IHG property were ridiculous...almost everywhere points devalued
