Dang that's surprising to me that it is taking that long to get it implemented and then also surprising United would want a sub fleet like that with slightly different numbers considering how much they have been pushing for commonality across their fleets.
It makes me wonder what exactly the modifications are and whether or not it’s possible to add them during an upcoming retrofit. 5 tons can be a very meaningful difference at max range. I doubt UA wants to say “well, we can wait until tomorrow, or we can swap in a plane tonight, but we’ll have to leave 50 of you behind.”
