Yes you need a car, there is nothing at the village other then the restaurant within the Grand Hyatt. Grappa, Riverhorse, Handle, and Firewood are all some the the better restaurants in downtown Park City. All will be hard to get reservations at over the holidays. The high end hotels in Deer Valley proper like the Stein Eriksen, Goldener Hirsch, St Regis, and the Montage all have nice restaurants as well. The Montage sometimes only allows hotel guests to dine there.
