I have an AS award flight on AA. I called AA's EXP desk to change to a later flight using AA's Travel Advisory (FAA Directive - Domestic systemwide flexibility). The agent diligently tried to change the flight but it wouldn't ticket. She reached out to her help desk and two agents there also unsuccessful tried to make the change. The final reason is that only 001 tickets can be changed.

Of course, there is no mention of that in the Travel Advisory or anywhere on the AA website. I was told the restriction is viewable to an agent on Sabre.

I set Expert Flyer alerts for four flights for Business - Partner Award (Including 2-cabin Domestic First) (U) and one of them popped tonight.

Terms from the Travel Advisory:

• Are traveling on an American Airlines flight
• Are booked in any fare class, including Basic Economy
• Bought your ticket by November 5, 2025
• Are scheduled to travel November 7 - 15, 2025
• Can travel November 6 - 17, 2025
• Don't change your origin or destination city
• Rebook in the same cabin or pay the difference
