Hi,

I'm currently trying to book avios reward flights from Tokyo to LHR (one way) next October. Ahead of my target date, I've been practicing logging on to BA and searching for two business class seats. Tonight was the night to do the actual booking. I logged onto the website ahead of midnight (GMT) and searched for my date as soon as it turned 00:00. However, when my search results were returned at 00:00:05 no reward flights were available on that date - not even economy or premium economy. Surely, not all of those seats can go in under five seconds? Does the BA site glitch sometimes and reward flights don't show up for a while after midnight? Or is this simply how crazy it is?
I've previously booked reward flights to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Boston at midnight without any hassle - but this is the first time that I couldn't even see any reward flights in the search results. I'm going to attempt again tomorrow at midnight but wondered if anybody had any advice/guidance? I've already booked the outbound flight so I only have tomorrow or the day after to secure the return before having to cancel the outbound which would be a real shame.
