Ground delay program is going into effect at 4:30 PM at Atlanta due to staffing (on top of the delays going on right now due to weather). Inbound flights are expected to be delayed by about 3 hours on average.

This is further evidence that the cuts are not going to resolve day-of delays, especially since the cuts are not even focused on peak traffic hour so folks should be making plans accordingly.

It'll be a long evening for Delta ops at Atlanta / anyone flying through ZTL!

Edited to Add: GDP due to staffing also in effect at LGA and JFK, so looks like a lot of East Coast flights will be disrupted today.
