I stayed here back in August and was upgraded to the 5th floor junior suite and had a great stay. The hotel is very fairly priced but not as luxurious as the Standard Bangkok. Everything seems to be very trendy and designed for photos and social media. I emailed ahead of time to let the hotel know we were celebrating a birthday and they decorated the room for us and sent a small cake along with a bottle of wine and a bunch of snacks. The general manager and assistant manager both introduced themselves to us on separate occasions to give their birthday wishes as well.
In terms of the hotel, I think we made the right choice by staying here over the weekend because there was a puppy yoga sponsored by Alo Yoga and an outdoors market mainly focused pet products and adoption as well. The pool was busy with both kids and influencers taking photos and isn't deep enough to go for a real swim. They had happy hour at the pool during the afternoon as well. The hotel itself is right in the middle of town which means you can walk to some restaurants and bars nearby, although I'd say the ones onsite are much much better. The beach isn't great and because it's a public beach, there are many vendors selling trinkets, beer, and jet ski or horseback rides. Hua Hin is mostly a weekend destination for well off Thai people and not really international tourists so it feels pretty local.
I really liked both restaurants in the hotel. The Italian food was very good, especially the Neapolitan style pizza. The Thai restaurant was a bit fusion but in the right way that adds some exciting twists to traditional Asian cuisine. Breakfast was pretty hectic and it seems that the restaurant isn't big enough for the entire hotel to have a late breakfast at 10AM. They gave out free champagne vouchers to anyone who arrives before 9AM and that seems like a really smart move on the restaurant.
We booked our transfers through huahincab.com and it's probably the best deal you can find at 2000THB for the 3.5 hour drive from Bangkok. Our drivers were courteous and on-time and the Camry's are much more comfortable than the Bangkok taxis and GrabCars.
