DFW-LHR AA80
October 20
777-300
Business class
I was booked on AA20 but during a series of rolling maintenance delays I switched to the last seat on AA80. Both flights ultimately left about the same time. I had pre-ordered the shrimp on AA20 but it was available to order onboard AA80. I had previously eaten pretty well in the Flagship Lounge, but I still took the full meal onboard out of curiosity. Service met expectations for AA but was unremarkable. My side of the plane (H-K) always seemed to be about 15 minutes behind the other side.
It had been a while since I had flown the 777-300 in J (two prior flights were in F) and the shelf and storage spaces seemed quite a bit smaller than I remembered them.
The starter was weird but the salad was good. I tried to get extra mini bottles of the oil and vinegar for the bread but could not.
Shrimp main course was OK. The shrimp were a bit bland but everything was cooked well.
Arrival meal. Quite good. It appears AA may have upped their game here. Certainly a far better "Full English" than what BA is serving for its arrival meals into London on similar length flights.
