Got some feedback on the DFW-LHR-DFW BA192/193 cancellations this week.
My EC261 claim was just denied as "BA0193 on 03 November was cancelled due to Trent engine issues".
As an aside, having flown Club/Business eastbound on a BA A350 and westbound rebooked on a AA B789P (first time for me on each of these aircraft types) I found the AA product superior. Granted I was in Row 1 on the 789 which is a premium seat with more space (especially legroom) and better bedding - a much thicker mattress pad and extra fluffy blanket. Aisles felt wider and less claustrophobic. No air vents on the A350 and 2 vents on the 789P. Limited overhead storage however on the 789P. Crews were excllent on both. The AA crew did something unexpected. Several of them apologised for making noise in the galley (they actually were not noticably noisy). and I appreciated their empathy towards the front row passengers.
