Lap infant on Alaska award

I’ve done a lot of research on this, but can’t find Iberia specific information and just grasping at straws. I have an Alaska award booking for business seat from Madrid to Boston and I’m trying to add a lap infant. Not looking for help from Alaska because I know that they will not process lap infants, but I have been trying to get Iberia to do it , to no avail. I am hesitant to give up because we actually have three business seat awards on the same flight , nonstop on iberia metal, which in my experience with Iberia is a unicorn . Does anyone know of DP’s about getting an Iberia agent to add a lap infant on an award booking? I know with other airlines HUCA has worked, personally I’ve done this on Alaska awards booked on aer lingus, but I have now tried at least three times on the phone and one time on chat. They say they can’t do it because their system shows that it is an Alaska booking. The other element I’m wondering if anyone can advise on is that I have heard that 24 hours before the flight , the PNR converts to become native to the operating airline , and so I’m wondering if I repeat this process 24 hours before the flight should it work ? (on Iberia bookings adding a lap infant is not a problem.)risky I know. Also, as a corollary, and to offer a data point for those interested, one thing I tried was that I canceled my Alaska booking.(We actually have two bookings -one is for two seats, and one is for one seat , which I had to do because of the timing of my Atmos balance). I was immediately at the ready with my BA and Iberia accounts open because they would allow me to book the seat with an infant, but the business seat never showed up on either , although it did show up again in Alaska immediately. I ended up rebooking it to buy some time. My current plan is to roll the dice and try to talk to a live person in the airport once in Madrid…
