I am booked to fly out to Asia with Qatar next year. I recently made silver. I added my Executive Club number to the booking when I made it, but when I go into the booking now the Qatar website still seems to want to charge me to select seats.

Any tips? Might it take a few days to update with my silver status - so should I just wait? Or am I best off calling/using the chat on the Qatar website? Also: anyone know if silver allows me to choose preferred seating in Y or just “normal” seating?
