We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in the beginning of October using Cat 4 certificates. Did not use SNAs but as Glob was upgraded to 2 room suite facing golf course upon arrival. This renovated hotel is well maintained, and I found the service to be very attentive. It is primarily a golf destination for Britts and other Europeans. When we arrived, they just closed their beach club and the adult pool because the weather was getting colder. But the main pool remained open and was not crowded at all. Breakfast was in the restaurant which also has a nice outdoor terrace. The spread was a good variety with Cava offered every day. You can order cook-to-order eggs, but their interpretation of egg benedict was not even close to what it should be. What I liked was a Spanish table with local cheeses and sausages. The club lounge is open shortly after breakfast is over and has a nice setting of an European club. There are some coffee, tea, snack and sandwiches available through the day and you can get some more Cava. I think wine, beer, and maybe some hard liquor are also available but we were not in the mood for wine during the day, and I usually do not drink beer or liquor. The early evening service consisted of rotating some small appetizers and about two hot dishes – all served on small plates. The selection was rotated every day and was sufficient for a small dinner if you are not a heavy eater. Red wines were particularly nice. I have looked some of them up - typically not found in the USA or distributed in Europe and about 30 Euros at the winery. Overall, the lounge is what it should be – a not crowded place where you can stop for a great drink or two and enjoy tastefully prepared canapés. I would certainly stay again, perhaps during summer months when the beach club is open.
