I wouldnt expect that they will be making this change while leaving everything as it is so the most probable thing will be golds lose breakfast and diamonds lose lounge. Then hilton lose me as a customer, because $18000 a year on hotels to have access to a lounge is madness.
I’d cancel my Aspire card. Hilton Honors has already pretty much lost most of my US stays due to a lack of benefits - if I stay at a Hampton or HGI, it’s usually an AA Hotels booking to earn AA miles and LPs. If they were to take away the lounge benefit for Diamonds, I can probably just find a decent Marriott or Hyatt with Lounge at most overseas locations and that would mean Diamond and the Aspire card are not very useful to me anymore and my “loyalty life” would be a bit more simplified.
