Cancellation/delay policy for China Airlines flights booked via Air France
I booked an international flight via AirFrance flying out of US to Asia; the flight is operated on China Airlines. If there is a delay or cancellation requiring rebooking / refund /compensation / overnight hotel stay / transportation due to delay , would I be turning to AirFrance (booking airline) or China Airlines (operating airline) first? I would guess the airline through which I booked the flight (Airfrance) would be the one to reach out to.
Assuming AirFrance determines my refund/comp/rebooking, this brings me to the following question: Since my flight has no EU origin or destination, I believe I am not covered under EU regulation 261/2004 in the event of flight cancellations/delays but can anyone tell me where I can find Airfrance passenger rights for flights not covered under EU regs?
