I missed a connecting flight from DFW to DEN because of one of AA's trademark last-minute gate changes (I got no notification and couldn't manage the hike to another terminal in time.). They put me on the next flight. Now I'm trying to claim the miles and I get the message that my flight isn't eligible for miles! Is this standard practice?
