No, we don’t NEED to, but we should. As the Mod wrote on that thread, comments were far off topic, and there’s no reason to start a new thread when there’s an existing thread on the exact subject (regardless of age).

Good to read that your back problems were corrected.

I absolutely prefer a window seat, and I do not agree that preference obligates me in any way to NOT get up whenever I want, presuming the frequency of my getting up is not exorbitant.

”Every few hours“ is not exorbitant. In fact, healthy adults with normal functioning kidneys should probably be getting up every few hours to use the facilities.
