The airline business is particularly brutal, tough decisions have to be made, we get butt hurt when it affects us personally. Fortunately, those in the East Bay have viable options - not always the case. Case in point: The now beloved UA abandoned CLE TWICE after acquiring CO https://simpleflying.com/united-airlines-cleveland-hub
The "unique to AS" part is the crying after the fact that it wanted back in to LGB. (My point wasn't about gutting the acquired airline.) I remember all of those airlines, and of the whole bunch, OC was my favorite. By the way, HP still exists, it just changed its lipstick twice, and still has a huge PHX operation.
