If anything, the EU number should be more worrying. There are reasons why US demand is weak but short haul shouldn't be a problem .
I expect a lot of BA's shorthaul network exists to enable connections between USA-> Europe, so if US travel is down, so will be BA's EU traffic. Total shot in the dark, but I'd guess at least 30% of the EU traffic is connecting from longhaul.
