Not sure but you posted today for a flight that was a month ago?. Did you check the price for a roundtrip, for many years an international (long haul) round trip flight could be cheaper than a one way, but AA have changed that and sometimes is just half of the price (plus tax difference) when there is a fare on sale with no so many restrictions. Anyway, I prefer to use 26k AA miles than paying $600.
