I think this is shooting themselves in their own foot. Instead of stopping all this credit card gifting of status, they create another tier and those that earn Diamond " honestly" are now being penalized...
The spend requirement is a bit too much in my opinion, unless they include the spending from Hilton branded CC. Based in Europe, this basically gives us members here zero opportunities of reaching the new tier for majority of us.
