If a person cannot get a CC for whatever reason, I still don't recommend this card because of the balances required to stage at this "bank" -- this is a debit card not a grace period available situation. Targeting such folks for these types of reward cards is not the right advice. The only reason why this card came up is because of the interchange loophole not because it is better than the credit cards. There is really not a lot of difference here than people using CashApp as their primary debit card. Yes, there is an audience and market, and we know there are people who are terrible with handling credit, but it is hard to say that if you are debit-only (which I know many young people are because of what they have seen their parents gone through) that this is the right type of debit card. I want people putting their money in HYS and not storing money in these type of accounts.
