As someone who will probably never be Diamond Reserve, I feel this has been a long time coming. Hilton is the only major chain where you can have top tier status simply by virtue of having a credit card, which makes it extremely difficult to provide meaningful benefits like you can get with other top tiers like Globalist.

Will be interested to see if the 80 nights & $18k spend has any way to achieve some of it with CC spend or if they are going to buck the trend across airlines and hotels and require pure stays.
