I suspect the Times journalist got the wrong end of the stick !
There have been cases where airlines had to go with different providers because Starlink would not agree to them charging customers.
If I2 or VY want to charge, IAG will need to find an alternate supplier and I do not see that happening.
So I think the journo got it wrong - would not be the first time an aviation story in the press had inaccuracies
Good news for EI, hopefully it will be a fast rollout. It seems to be a system that can be installed very quickly based on other airlines experiences
