A3 FFP still remembers one of the cheapest ways to get star alliance gold.
That happened with BA too, at first everyone on the BAEC forum were saying that they would ditch BA, but then after time they were discussing how to get BA Silver. Quite costly!
Actually in my case Oneworld Sapphire would work out cheaper, as it aligns better with my flying pattern. The problem is that my nearest main airport is a Star Alliance hub, so that complicates things.
