Looks like I had it slightly mixed up, yes. The point was that the AS/AM lounges are QR specific and not OW lounges, so unless you have access to those you get punted off to a lesser lounge. I.e. OWE will not get you any of those. I always defer to the wiser people in here on the finer details for which rules are in effect for access to AS/AM, I just know in general they are not OW lounges.

Well not quite - AS/AM are totally available to ticketed first or business class passengers on other oneworld airlines, so they aren't just for QR. The Gold/Platinum lounges are for status passengers *not* flying at the front of the plane (including QR passengers/status holders). So an emerald at the back of a QR plane gets access to the platinum lounge, but anyone on a BA F class can use AS.
