I'll be on the late SFO-MNL flight and looking at the menu, looking for reccomendations:

Stir Fried Shrimp, Roasted delicata squash, Braised Short Rib, French Chicken Breast
I want meat but don't like seafood so probably the Beef or Chicken. I've done the shortrib a million times so I might try the chicken but always afraid of them overcooking it.

Apparently this flight offers Tapas, a first for me.
Herbed ricotta cheese, Stir fried chicken and mushrooms, Soon kimchi noodle soup cup, Brown butter gnocchi, Black bean corn empanadas
Anyone try these and have a recommendation? Probably not the cheese. The soup cup just reminds me of those mid-flight ramen noodles that arent fully cooked.

Arrival has Gnudi (a pasta?) or Tender birra beef and melted cheese on toasted sourdough (a sandwich)

You made the right choice. I find all savory breakfast choices to be bad. I will never take a morning PL flight ever again.
