So, what happens if your flight was changed by more than one hour and you cancel? The flight was never canceled, so you voluntarily canceled it per the first part of the policy, and then don't get your money back per the asterisk?
Hopefully this is just more bad writing by AS as other carriers don’t require the cancellation to get refunds, but of course I’ve also predicted Alaska would not be as flexible as UA etc.
