Landed at EWR this morning for a quick in-and-out day trip.

Waited ~40 minutes for a gate on the arrival. Pilot indicated ATC was a bit oversaturated, which exacerbated getting to our gate which was briefly occupied on arrival.

Nervous about the flight back out. Last couple days that flight has been significantly delayed.
Going to be a long day, I fear.
