This sort of smart half length folding umbrella with a flat end is fine. It should fit in your luggage or coat anyway.
The ones that are problematic are full length or oversize ones (due to size) and anything with a pointy tip (due to it being a weapon).
Golf umbrellas are generally larger than the standard black umbrella a city gent might carry and use as a walking stick. Beach umbrellas are generally even larger.
