For what it's worth, we travel once a year with our 14-year-old boy to Chile

I have a UK passport and an Argentine id document. My son travels with his Argentine passport and Argentine id document and my wife with her Argentine passport

We have never been asked for any extra documentation - we last visited in February.

I am unaware if the law has changed recently.
